As autumn settles across the Kent countryside, Hempstead House becomes something of a sanctuary. The air turns crisp, the leaves begin to burn gold and amber, and the gentle hush of the season invites you to slow down. It’s the perfect time to retreat — not far, but just far enough — to a place where comfort, calm, and quiet luxury come together.
A spa break in Kent at Hempstead House isn’t simply about pampering. It’s about restoring a sense of ease that the pace of everyday life so often wears away. Whether you join us for a weekend, a day, or just a few unhurried hours, we offer an experience filled with warmth, nature, and the quiet art of slowing down.
Autumn brings a gentle calm, as the light changes, the countryside slows, and the need to do anything at all begins to soften. We embrace that spirit here. It’s in the flicker of candlelight in our spa lounge, the scent of warming oils during a massage, the quiet hush of the gardens outside your window.
This is the season for wrapping up, unwinding, and leaning into comfort. Hempstead House becomes a haven where soft robes, warm pools, and soul-soothing food feel not just indulgent, but necessary.
At the heart of your stay is AquaManda Spa, designed to help you drift away from deadlines and distractions. The spa features a heated hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and experience showers, along with a relaxation lounge and six private treatment rooms.
Guests can choose from a wide menu of treatments using professional skincare products, with trained therapists offering massages, facials, wraps, and bespoke packages tailored to your needs. Both hotel residents and day guests are welcome.
Our Sittingbourne spa days are thoughtfully designed to allow time to reset without rushing. Whether you're visiting solo, with a partner, or as part of a small group, AquaManda offers a relaxing environment to switch off and reconnect.
Dining is central to the Hempstead House experience. Seasonal menus, carefully prepared by our chefs, reflect the richness of autumn – from slow-cooked meats and game to warming soups and decadent desserts.
Guests can dine in The Lakes Restaurant, known for its classical elegance, or enjoy a more relaxed atmosphere in The Brasserie. Both restaurants source fresh ingredients locally wherever possible and offer menus that evolve with the seasons.
This is a place where food is enjoyed slowly — where conversation lingers over dessert and where a good glass of wine is never hurried.
An overnight stay allows you to experience Hempstead House at its most tranquil. Each of our individually styled bedrooms is designed for rest and comfort, with crisp linens, comfortable furnishings, and views across the gardens or grounds.
Guests who stay overnight enjoy full access to AquaManda Spa and a cooked breakfast served the next morning in our dining room. For those looking to extend their visit, our location near Sittingbourne provides easy access to the surrounding countryside, local villages, and heritage attractions.
You don’t need a reason to rest. But if you’re looking for one, let it be the season. Let it be a cosy robe and slippers, the quiet of a private treatment room, or the comfort of warm hospitality in a countryside setting.
Whether you’re here for a single spa treatment or a weekend escape, we invite you to find your calm at Hempstead House — where time slows, and autumn lingers just a little longer.
