Hempstead House Comedy Night

The Return of Hempstead House's very own Comedy Club this January

£25 or £40 per person

entry only or with Thai curry buffet

Following the success of our Comedy Clubs this year, we welcome back Compere, Graeme Matthews with 3 guest comedians, Ricky Balshaw, Ravi Holy & Jack Newton on behalf of JNC Comedy.

Graeme Matthews - As well as regularly performing his solo show Graeme is also a seasoned comedy club act regularly MCing, opening and closing. His unusual blend of comedy club style stand up mixed with magic and variety makes him one of the most unique acts on the comedy circuit. Graeme's extensive entertainment career has included performing in theatre shows, comedy clubs, sporting dinners, corporate events, cruise ships, holiday centres and theme parks. In2007 Graeme made his Television debut on a BBC1 talent show called When Will I Be Famous hosted by Graham Norton. In 2019 he auditioned for Britain's Got Talent and Reached the Live Show Semi-Finals. In Graeme's Britain's Got Talent audition his comedy magic routine got him a standing ovation from the whole of the London Palladium audience and the 4 judges, with Simon Cowell saying ‘There's something about you, you're very confident' and David Walliams stating ‘You just have funny bones.'

Ricky Balshaw - A quick-witted, slow walking, fast rising star, Ricky Balshaw is without question, the funniest Paralympic Dressage medallist in the UK, perhaps the world. Stepping over his cerebral palsy like it’s the mildest of inconveniences, Ricky pulls his audience into a joyfully dark world of self-depreciating hilarity. No sympathy vote is needed (or accepted) as Ricky dominates comedy stages up and down the UK. A brilliant joke-smith and storyteller, this young man has comedy greatness in his bones, connecting with audiences. With his warm and engaging stage presence, Matt effortlessly draws the crowd into his world, taking them on a hilarious journey through his life experiences and observations.

Ravi Holy - Local talent, Ravi Holy is the vicar of Wye in Kent by day and a stand-up comedian by night. Not only does he make one laugh but also makes one think. His performance strikes a chord and lingers in the memory. Ravi Holy has imagination, social comment, well-structured gags and a charming stage persona. Plus he has a brilliant name!

John Newton - John Newton returns as a master of fast-paced, high-impact joke telling, John is known for his razor-sharp wit, clever writing and endless stream of punchlines. With decades of experience on stages across the UK and internationally, he's guaranteed to have you laughing from the moment he steps on stage.
