Hempstead House Hotel is delighted to host our next Murder Mystery evening performed by The Company Upfront on Saturday 13^th April 2024.

Are you the next Sherlock Holmes and solve the crime?

“Murder on the Jubilee Queen”

The year is 1977, as guests board the river boat ‘Jubilee Queen’ little do they know what a journey they are about to embark on. The captain appears to be in full control, the boat is ship shape and Bristol fashion, then an unusual set of events unfold leading to a deadly end for one of the travellers.
Who is the murderer? Can you uncover the truth in the sand ?

The “murder” and subsequent investigation will take place during the dinner with the conclusion and resulting winners being revealed at the end.

Guests will be seated on tables between ten and twelve. Only parties of 8+ are guaranteed private tables. Smaller parties are of course welcome and will be placed on joiner tables.

Timings

7.30pm arrival for dinner service at 8.00pm. The evening will end at approximately 11.00pm.

Dress Code

It would be lovely to see as many of you as possible dressed in the era of the 1970’s! This is not mandatory though. Feel free to come dressed smart/casual.

Rooms

Guests attending our Special Events are offered accommodation at a reduced rate from £150 B&B subject to availability, to include full use of the Aquamanda Spa from check in at 3pm to 5pm on the day of departure.

To confirm a reservation, card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Accommodation can be settled on arrival with the option to cancel 7 days prior to arrival.

Past Events

Information

Unless otherwise stated, a £10 deposit per person is required at time of booking. Full pre-payment is required 1 month prior.

Deposit payments can be made with card details over the phone, bank transfer or payment link on request.

Please note that Hempstead House no longer accepts cash on the premises. All purchases on site must be made by card payments only.

Please note all payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellations, either by individuals or as a group including reduced attendance, received 1 month prior to event will result in loss of deposits.

All cancellations received within 1 month of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge.

Guests are entitled to a full reimbursement should the hotel cancel the event unless the hotel is forced to close following government guidelines where a full credit voucher only will be issued.

Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
