Hempstead House Hotel is delighted to host our next Murder Mystery evening on Saturday 28^th March 2026.

Six lucky numbers. Three tricky suspects. One had-it-coming victim! Moneypenny Murder Mystery Productions returns with “Dead Lucky”.

What would you do if you won £11 million? You could live the dream, fulfil every fantasy, and get away with… well, just about anything. But in this comedic rollercoaster, someone’s luck has run out, and it could be you!

“Dead Lucky” weaves a tale of fortune and foul play where a lottery win spirals into a murder enquiry. As the plot thickens, join a cast of colourful characters and immerse yourself in a side-splitting mystery that will keep you guessing and giggling from start to finish.

Prepare for an evening of hilarity and high stakes as you piece together clues, interrogate suspects, and uncover the truth behind the crime.

With twists and turns at every corner, this modern-day comedy farce will have you questioning who had the motive, the means, and the opportunity.

So, dust off your detective skills and get ready for a dining experience where fortune, fun, and foul play collide. “Dead Lucky” – because in the game of life and death, someone’s number is about to come up!

The “murder” and subsequent investigation will take place during the dinner with the conclusion and resulting winners being revealed at the end.

As a choice menu, guests are required to submit pre-orders in advance.  Dietary requirements will be catered for and must be highlighted in advance.

Guests will be seated on tables between ten and twelve. Only parties of 8+ are guaranteed private tables.

To confirm your booking, a £10 non-refundable deposit is required per person with the full balance and pre-orders to be settled 1 month prior to the event.

Payment can be made with card details over the phone or by secure online pay links.

Accommodation

Accommodation is available from £205 B&B subject to availability, to include full use of the Aquamanda Spa from check in at 3pm to 5pm on the day of departure.

Guests attending our Special Events may receive a complimentary upgrade (subject to availability).

To confirm a reservation, card details are required and will be held against the booking for cancellation purposes. Accommodation can be settled on arrival with the option to cancel 24 hours prior to arrival.
