On Saturday 20th August , we invite you from 12.30pm to follow a one way “Jungle Trail” through the Gardens and Woodland Play Area before being escorted to your plot in the grounds of Hempstead House Hotel! While the adults get to enjoy our exquisite traditional afternoon tea on the lawns of the hotel, children will be served their very own mouth-watering Jungle Tea, all to themselves.
We are delighted to welcome back the cast from Gary Starr Pantomimes who will stage The Jungle Book, a colourful, one hour long show full of dance, song and entertainment from approximately 1.30pm.
Being an outdoor event, we ask you to bring your own picnic blankets or camping chairs, then simply enjoy the surroundings and relax while we offer a real treat for the whole family in the Summer Sun! Please note that the hotel will not provide tables and chairs outside. Shelter will also not be provided.
The experience will last for approximately 2 hours.
The price for the afternoon is £32.50 per adult and £21 per child to include the Jungle Trail, Afternoon Tea and professional pantomime show. A family of 2 adults and 2 children qualify for an £100 family ticket. Children under 2, not requiring catering will be required to purchase an entry only ticket of £10.00 while babes in arms are complimentary.
Dietary requirements and intolerances can be catered for providing these are highlighted in advance to include gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian or vegan afternoon teas.
Additional drinks can be ordered on the day. Why not treat yourselves to a Pitcher of Pimms or Prosecco on Ice to compliment the afternoon? Please note, that additional food and drink brought onto the premises is strictly forbidden.

At this time of uncertainty, we want you to book with confidence. Therefore please note, that while payments are non-refundable, under the current circumstances, cancellations by the hotel or by yourself on proof of a positive case of Covid received up to 3 days prior will be entitled to a full credit voucher to utilise another time towards any service or alternative event at Hempstead House, valid for a full 6 months from the issue date.
Non-covid related cancellations will result in loss of payments.
All cancellations received within 72 hours of the event will unfortunately result in a full cancellation charge.
Any cancellations must be confirmed in writing.
