Arc 1950 has now been established for 4 years and is a pivillage_from_abovecture book village high in the wonderful Paradski area of Les Arcs and La Plagne, now the largest ski-ing domain in Europe. It is a delightful mixture of traditional style apartments, shops, restaurants and bars all nestled into the mountainside below the larger resort of Arc 2000. The view to the North is over Mont Blanc, to the East, the view looks over the romantic vale of the Pissevielle stream that flows between the century-old stone pines and to the West, it looks out onto the Aiguille Rouge Glacier.

At this altitude the snow conditions are much better than the lower resorts and each residence boasts doorstep ski-ing. There are 2 new high speed lifts just below the village, The Marmottes and the Bois de Lours which afford direct access to Arcs 200, 1800 and 1600. The Cabriolet lift carries skiers and pedestrians between 1950 and 2000 and is open into the evening. The Marmotttes trail opens until 10pm on 2 nights each week with an organised torchlight descent.

The village is reserved for pedestrians and has secure underground car parking where you can reserve a space for a week if you are travelling by car. From the car park, a lift takes you to all levels and trolleys are available for transporting luggage.
